No Holiday for Some Home Buyers

It’s exciting to report Buyers took 39% greater action to buy their home in Aurora over prior year in the month of November.  There were 78 home sales of all types of homes in Aurora and the average median price was $786, 250 down from $807,000 last November.  Even though sales of homes were greater than last year there were 20 per cent less homes placed for sale in November at 162 and by the end of month there was also 301 homes remaining for sale approximately 10 per cent less than year over year reports.  Sellers yielded 98 per cent of their asking price once they sold.

There are about 4.6 months of inventory of homes for sale so if no other homes were placed for sale it could take that long to sell the selection that’s currently for sale at the current rate buyer’s are taking action.  With more selection available for sale coupled with buyer’s taking action  to purchase, the market is balanced.   Many buyers take action twelve months of the year and if you are motivated to sell or make a home purchase call a REALTOR® today to design your action plan for the remaining days of 2018 and into the New Year.  Have an incredible holiday season surrounded by family, friends and making new memories within your home and beyond.
