Fourth quarter Aurora Community 2016 Statistics were recently released by the Toronto Real estate Board echoing the strong Sellers market in Aurora which persists at an roaring 54.9 per cent increase rate in home sales from prior year.

There were 299 home purchases in the final 3 months of the year with a 21.49 per cent increase in home values bringing the quarterly home value average price for all types of homes to $930,267.  Homes typically sold within 14 days, 9 days quicker than last year.  There were 384 homes placed on the market a supply increase of 66.96 percent to meet the demand but that demand continues through to 2017.

Top four neighbourhoods where between 45 – 55 homes were purchased in order were Bayview NorthEast, Aurora Highlands, Aurora Village and Bayview Wellington.  Hills of St. Andrew Yielded the greatest average price for homes at $1,448,950 a 41 per cent rise in value and the Aurora Estates also shared a similar story of growth in home values and each neighbourhood experienced 10 sales.  Aurora Heights, Rural Aurora and Aurora Grove collectively became home to 71 sales.  Bayview Wellington remains to be one of the most affordable corners of Aurora with the average price at $746,533 an almost 24 per cent bump up.
