Rising in the Third

Third quarter home purchases were up by almost 47 per cent in Aurora over last year.   There were 216 sales of all home types across Aurora during this period with average pricing registering 12 per cent lower to $872,219 and median pricing at $812,000 which is 6 per cent lower since the same timeframe in 2017.
There were 634 homes placed for sale during this time and 387 remained for sale at the end of the third quarter and most Seller’s received 96 per cent of their asking price.  In terms of neighbourhood sales in Aurora there were 38 sales in Aurora Highlands neighbourhood at a median price of $822,000.  Aurora Village median prices were $565,000 and the median price of $$683,500 was yielded in Bayview Wellington and both neighbourhoods had 35 sales each.  There were 32 sales in Rural Aurora at a median price of $1,060,000 and 29 sales in Bayview Northeast at $898,000.  Aurora Heights earned 16 sales at a median price of $830,000.  There were 13 sales in Aurora Grove at a median price of $688,000 and 12 sales in the Hills of St. Andrew at a median price of $$897,000 and for the highest median price of $2,100,000 there were 5 sales in the Aurora Estates neighbourhood.
