Cool welcome to Fall Market

Back to school season brought in 57 sales of all home types in Aurora for September 2018 which was 24 percent greater than in 2017, yet 30 percent less than the market activity last month.  The cool down since August of Buyers taking action may have been due to the busy time families experience setting new routines after summer vacations coupled with stricter financing conditions and the greater selection of homes for sale in Aurora and beyond.
Home average values came in at about $812,000, while the median average of homes was $810,000.  There were 264 homes that were placed on the market for sale.  At the end of September, 387 homes were still available for sale.  In many cases the homes placed for sale may have been for sale in the past, so the average days on market for all home types recorded at 28 days for September is not a true reflection in some instances of the time it took to sell a home giving that many homes for sale have been reintroduced to MLS® more than once.  There is close to 5 months of inventory on the market making it a balanced market of supply and demand.
