Royal LePage marks 100 years

2013 marks an important and exciting milestone for Royal LePage, as Royal LePage is proudly celebrating its 100th birthday. On October 4th the local Orangeville Royal LePage office joined in the Cross-Canada birthday bash by hosting a fundraising barbecue.
The local REALTOR’s and staff were hard at work during the event barbecuing hamburgers and hotdogs for the community. Food was sold by donation only, and all funds raised were proudly donated to Family Transition Place in Orangeville. “Other Royal LePage offices across the country held similar fundraising activities, each raising funds directly for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation or for their local shelter.” said Brenda Vanwoudenberg, Office Administrator at Royal LePage RCR Realty in Orangeville.
“Royal LePage RCR Realty is a strong supporter of the communities we live and work in.” she said. “We help our clients buy and sell homes.
We realize, however, that everyone doesn’t have the means to buy a home. Th e Royal LePage Shelter Foundation allows us to provide shelter for more than just our clients.” Such altruism is illustrative of the care held for the communities in which Royal LePage agents live and work. In fact, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 30,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs that Royal Lepage funds.
The company’s tag line Helping You Is What We Do is as true today as it was 100 years ago.
Royal LePage has been helping Canadians buy and sell their homes and supporting communities for a century. “When our founder A. E. LePage began the company he was a pioneer whose innovation and belief in customer service transformed real estate in Canada. It is this spirit that has inspired many industry fi rsts, from offering virtual tours to launching a website.” A. E. LePage was also a founding member of the Toronto Real Estate Board, and the “company has always strived to set the highest quality standards in the industry,” said Andrew Wildeboer, Broker of Record and President of Royal LePage RCR Realty.
“To us, real estate is as much a passion as it is a business. Th at’s why we have continually led the industry in off ering high quality real estate services.
Because of the critical role our agents play in our success, we always strive to provide them with the latest tools and technologies. We offer them strong support with timely information and market data plus state-of-the-art marketing tools, professional development and in-office training. This way, you can feel confident that any agent bearing the Royal LePage RCR Realty name will stand for expertise and service you can count on.”
In Orangeville, Royal LePage RCR Realty began in August 1977, when it opened as Royal City Realty. Within its first year of business, the company reached number one in sales in the area. As the company’s success grew, distinction was becoming a priority.
In the long term, business partners, Andrew Wildeboer, Bill Wildeboer and Frank Gray Jr., decided that national recognition is what would help the company with positive growth. In December 1998, Royal City Realty became a broker affiliated with Royal LePage. Since then, the company, together with their Brokerage, Royal LePage York North Realty in Newmarket, has grown to 19 offices with approximately 400 salespeople in southern Ontario.
Royal LePage RCR Realty is a member of the Orangeville, Brampton, Toronto, Southern Georgian Bay, Grey Bruce Owen Sound and Guelph Real Estate Boards.
“100 Years of Helping You Home is our motto this year,” Andrew notes. “These six simple words convey much about us and about our great company: enduring success; a clientcentric culture that puts the needs of those we serve ahead of our own; and the importance of family and community.”
